Notes
Keep short notes like sticky notes and attach documents and files to them. A note can be attached to three places:
- General: not tied to any record (on-call schedule, general reminders).
- A group: shown on that group's page (like a customer contact).
- A server or a VPN: shown in the Notes card on that record's page.
Adding a note
- On a record's or a group's page, Notes → Add note.
- The Notes button at the bottom left shows all notes together; New note opens a general note.
- You can pick the note's color. A note is at most 4000 characters; attach a file for anything longer.
Attaching files
The File button on the note card attaches a document, an image or any file (at most 20 MB per file, 10 files per note). Click the file name to save it to your computer.
Where it lives, who sees it
- On this computer: notes live together with your records, encrypted with your master password; attached files are encrypted too.
- On a central server: only the author sees a note. If Share is ticked, everyone who can see the record the note is attached to sees it; those who can't see the record can't see the note. The author and admins can change or delete a note. Admins can't read notes that weren't shared.
- Adding, changing and deleting notes and downloading files are written to the audit log (the note's text is not logged).

quickssh note add "Backup runs nightly at 02:00" --scope ssh:web [--share]
